Dr. Peavey has a Ph.D. in Parasitology from the University of
California at Berkeley and an M.S. in Pathobiology from the
University of Washington. She has worked in Vector Control
since 1995 with experience in both research and Special District
Management. She has developed surveillance and control
programs for mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and the diseases
transmitted by these vectors.
Brian first worked for the District in 2005 as a seasonal catch
basin driver. He subsequently worked as a Vector Control
Technician for seven years before being promoted to his current
position of Assistant Manager. Brian holds an Associate of Arts
from the College of San Mateo and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal
Arts from San Francisco State University.
Born and raised in the city of San Mateo, Brian has been a county
resident his entire life. He enjoys serving his community
and ensuring county residents have a higher quality of life.
Megan has a Bachelor of Science in biology from University of
Houston and a Master of Public Health from Texas A&M Health
Science Center School of Public Health in Health Promotion and
Community Health Science. Her professional interests include
health communication and social media outreach.
In her free time, Megan enjoys hiking, camping, and birdwatching.
Richard S. Arrow is a 37 year veteran in local government.
He has served in numerous positions ranging from staff
accountant, County Auditor-Controller, Finance Director, and
Chief Financial Officer for cities and counties. He has
extensive experience in accounting, auditing, financial
