Request for Proposals for 1415 N. Carolan Improvements Project

San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District (“District”) will accept sealed bids for its 1415 N. Carolan Improvements Project (“Project”), by or before Tuesday March 17, 2026, at 2 p.m., at its office located at 1351 Rollins Road, Burlingame, California, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Project Information

Location and Description. The Project is located at 1415 N. Carolan, Burlingame, CA 94010 and is described as follows: The renovation of an existing facility and associated sitework. Improvements to the site include site grading, ADA parking upgrades and EV charging, bioretention basin, and perimeter fencing/gate. Improvements to the building include exterior façade improvements, replacement of the roof, and roll up doors. Interior construction of office, restroom, breakroom, meeting rooms and board room per the Plans and Technical Specifications.

Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 334 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. District anticipates that the Work will begin on or about May 1, 2026, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding.

Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is $7.5 Million

License and Registration Requirements.

License. This Project requires a valid California contractor’s license for the following classification(s): B – General Building Contractor.

DIR Registration. District may not accept a Bid Proposal from or enter into the Contract with a bidder, without proof that the bidder is registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code § 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions.
