Warmer weather - time to dump and drain standing water

Just a few ounces of water can produce hundreds of mosquitoes in less than a week.
Take a moment to look around your home for anything that's holding water, and dump or drain it if you can. That includes empty buckets or flowerpots, plant saucers, birdbaths, canoes and kayaks, folds in tarps, and trash or debris. Whenever possible, remove or turn over items so they can’t refill. If there's something you can't dump or drain, give us a call!
We can also help with any mosquito issues in your neighborhood. Call us at 650-344-8592 or submit an online service request to report mosquitoes in your neighborhood so one of our certified vector control technicians can investigate and resolve the issue.
Midges are swarming (but they don't bite!)

Residents from Foster City, Redwood Shores, and some parts of San Mateo have been calling in to report swarms of insects. These insects closely resemble mosquitoes but are actually midges. Midges swarm in large numbers in late spring and early summer and can be a nuisance. These non-biting midges (Chironomidae) do not bite or carry diseases. However, they may be annoying when they are present in large numbers or come inside homes. Click here to learn more about midges.
We're Hiring!

We currently have a few seasonal Vector Control Aide positions open for the summer season. Check out our Current Openings page to learn more and apply.
Prevent tick bites
