Catherine is a former Mayor and City Council member of the City of Menlo Park and has served on the SMCMVCD board since 2020. She holds a doctorate from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Bayes Business School at the University of London. 

A serial entrepreneur in Asia and the United States, Catherine serves on several boards and mentors founders through USC’s Marshall Incubator and Oxford University’s Entrepreneurs Society. Passionate about environmental and wildlife conservation, she spent a year in the Peruvian Amazon working on parrot preservation and eco-tourism. She now lives in Silicon Valley, speaks at events around the world, and consults with government and business organizations.
