Kat Lion is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees and has served as the representative for Redwood City since 2014. Ms. Lion is passionate about protecting public health and working to serve her community. In addition to serving on the Board, Ms. Lion is an environmental scientist and works for a environmental engineering firm in Burlingame. She has worked in San Mateo County since 2006 and lived in Redwood City since 2010. Ms. Lion holds a B.S. from Santa Clara University in Environmental Science and Biology and a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
She was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in March 2014. Her current appointment expires on 12/31/2021.
