Where the Wild Things Shouldn’t Be
Living With Your Wild Neighbors
We’ve heard from a few residents lately that are sick and tired of their neighbors’ wild partying. They’re reporting garbage strewn across the lawn, noise at all hours of the night, and even uninvited visitors making themselves at home in the attic! Yes, we’re talking about those neighbors: the animals that live in our neighborhoods.
While we can’t control the natural behavior of wildlife, there are some things we can do to make it easier to get along with the animals that live in our neighborhoods. For example, keeping our homes, garages, and other structures tightly sealed helps keep animals outside where they belong. Storing garbage in animal-proof containers removes the temptation of our leftover food. And keeping our distance from wildlife whenever we see them can help them retain their natural wariness of humans.
