Seasonal staff work during the summer months to help control mosquito populations.  Control efforts include the treatment of over 34,000 catch basins (drains under the street that may hold water that can grow mosquitoes) every two weeks throughout the warm summer months.  Regular treatments keep mosquitoes from breeding in the catch basins.
